Katie Smoak, Director of Public Outreach and Coordinator of Health and Wellness Initiatives, is dedicated to the three focus areas of Community Health Works: Health and Wellness, Disease Management, and Healthcare Delivery. Through innovative programs, she assists the organization with promoting health and healthcare throughout the Central Georgia region. With a background in health education and a passion for serving others, Smoak hopes to promote healthy lifestyles, provide educational opportunities, and to increase awareness of the importance of taking responsibility of an individual’s health. Having lived in Macon her whole life, Smoak is privy to the health disparities taking place in the Central Georgia region and hopes to see those disparities lessened through the mission of Community Health Works.
Smoak holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education with a concentration in Community Health and Human Service and a minor in Spanish.
